- Bike
The bike course is completely closed to traffic. It is a 1 mile out and back, for a total of 2 miles for each lap. For the 6&Under waves, athletes will only bike halfway (around the McClennan exit) before turning around.
The athlete will leave Transition and cross the Mount Line before getting on the bike.
Slap bracelets will be used to help athletes keep track of laps. Completing the required number of laps is ultimately the responsibility of the athlete. Missed laps will incur a 20-minute penalty.
When the athlete returns from riding on the bike course, they must stop before the Dismount Line. The bike needs to be put back in the same spot where it was set up before the swim. Throwing the bike down randomly will result in a 2-minute time penalty.
