Setup Donations
Enabling Donations
In order to allow participants to create fundraisers for your cause, you must first turn on donations for that run/walk/ride. There are two ways to enable donations for your run/walk/ride.
Enabling Donations in the Race Wizard
The first step in the Race Wizard, Basic Info, allows you to accept donations for your run/walk/ride. If you choose to turn this on, you will be able to set an overall goal and add additional information on this step. You can also choose if you would like to show a goal thermometer to illustrate your progress toward your donation goal.
Note: If you turn on donations in the Race Wizard, you will be required to input an estimated number of donations in the Race History section of the Basic Info step of the Race Wizard.
Turning on Donations from your Race Dashboard
If you do not turn on donations in the Race Wizard, you can do so from your Race Dashboard by going to Donations >> Setup. Here you can input the date on which you would like to start collecting donations and any additional information you would like to include. We HIGHLY recommend customizing this information as donors are more likely to make a donation when they know where the money is going and who is benefitting from their donation.
Whether you turn on donations during the Race Wizard or from your Race Dashboard, you can customize your donation settings from the Race Dashboard after donations are enabled. To learn more about these settings, read the Setup Donations Help Guide.
Donation Reports
Under Donations >> Reports >> Donations, you can find the report of all the donations made to this run/walk/ride. This page breaks down donations by charity and by donation amount. At the bottom of the page, you can see a break down of each donation made by individuals and information about these individuals.
You can use the Search function to filter the donation search by name, email, donation dates, donation amount, donation status, or charity.
You can also find donation pledges under Donations >> Reports >> Donation Pledges. In order to allow donation pledges, you must enable them under the advanced setting option for Individual Fundraisers. However, this setting is not recommended, because it is then the Race Directors responsibility to ensure these pledges get fulfilled.
Manual Donations
As the race director, you can also manually add donations by going to Donations >> Manual Donations. By clicking the Add Manual Donation button, you can input the donor information and dollar amount of donations received from offline donations.
You can also Import Multiple Donations by uploading a CSV of offline donations made or manually adding multiple donations with their donor information.
The Manual Donations pages will automatically generate a report of all manual donations that have been put into the system for that run/walk/ride.
All manual donations will count towards your donation goal progress, show in the donor list on your donation page, and appear in your donation reports.
