The Spa Running Festival presented by Window Mart - Half Marathon, 10K, 5K & 1K Squirt Race

*Olympic Medalist and American Marathon Record Holder, Deena Kastor will be the official race starter for all the 3 races!

The Spa Running Festival is an event for everyone ..... kids, walkers, beginners to elite runners and those that like a challenge!  This  year will be the 37th running of the Spa 10K and it has been selected by the RRCA Grand Prix Series to be a State Championship Race. The 5K is fast and flat course and for both walkers and runners! The 1K Squirt Race is for kids 2 - 10 years of age.  The challenging Half Marathon returns for the 4th year!  It's a challenge but you get to run through the National Park and on both mountains, North Mountain AND West Mountain! Are You Up To The Summit 2 Summit Half Marathon Challenge? 

The Festival has received national recognition in the running community. Runner’s World Magazine featured the Spa Running Festival in the November 2015 edition and the 10K received recognition in Runner’s World Bucket List: 10 Races In or Near National Parks.

Come and enjoy the Expo on Friday at our new location in the Hot Springs Convention Center Grand Lobby; then after the race hang around to enjoy great food, the beer tent, picture taking, socializing and bragging rights that you conquered (BOTH) mountains.   

Proceeds from the race benefits 3 great organizations:  Friends of the Parks, Teen Challenge of Arkansas and the Spa Pacers Running Club - Buzz Wilson Scholarship Program. 

The Spa Running Festival has a race for every family member so Come Run With Us through the National Park, Saturday, November 17th for the 37th running of this landmark event in beautiful, historic downtown Hot Springs!

Race Information
Start times:  All races start and finish on Convention Blvd. in front of Embassy Suites. The Half Marathon starts at 7:00 am, the Spa 10K  at 7:45 am and the 5K Run/Walk at 8:00 am. The Squirt 1K Race starts at 9:30 am - also on Convention Blvd in the lane next to the Food Court area and the kids will run down Convention Blvd towards East Grand. 

Course Safety: While for safety reasons we discourage the use of earbuds and headphones, we do not impose a ban on such devices. But if you’re wearing headphones, how will you hear the crowd cheering at the finish line? Animals are not allowed on the course unless they are assisting visually impaired participants. Because the safety of all participants is a priority, wearing roller skates or pushing strollers of any kind are not allowed in any of the events for the race.

Race Day Packet-up and Late Registration: Race Day packet pick-up and registration start at 6:00 am - 7:30 am at the Convention Center Summit Arena Lower Lobby (the entrance closest to Embassy Suites).  Note:  Restrooms are located at the top of the escalators.
