Virtual Race Information

Once you submit your race results your shirt, bib, and finisher medal will be shipped directly to you.  NOTE: youth <17 will not receive a shirt.  


All participants will need to finish and have results submitted by May 16, 2021 no later than 11:59 p.m.   Results submitted after May 16, 2021 will not have a race packet shipped.  The address submitted with the race results is where the race packet will be shipped.  Youth <17 y.o. will only receive a  medal.  Participants 18+ signed up will get a shirt and a medal shipped to the address provided when race results have been submitted.  Participants must be signed up no later than May 2, 2021 by 11:59 p.m. to be guaranteed a shirt.   Participants can submit results any time from the day of sign up until May 16, 2021. Half Marathon participants will receive a long sleeve shirt.  3K and 5K participants will receive a short sleeve shirt.  All packets will be shipped out no later than May 20, 2021. 



Please connect with the Gold Star Mission community on social media ( Facebook *search "Gold Star Mission" or "Gold Star Mission Run for the Fallen" and on Instagram *gsm_run_for_the_fallen").  Share a picture , short video, or selfie when you finish to our community.  If you participating to remember one of our fallen military we would like for you to share their story with EVERYONE.  Tell us why you are participating and about your experience.  Please wear your race shirt to get our message out to remember our fallen military.  

In order to be compliant with the CDC guidelines we are changing the Gold Star Mission Run for the Fallen to a virtual race. Please know that the GSM Run for the Fallen is a significant fundraiser for the Gold Star Mission scholarship fund.  This race provides another important opportunity for us to honor our fallen military, which is why we are not canceling the event.   

A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked), at your own pace, from any location you choose, and is timed by you.  Ruck, walk, run, jog, indoors on a track or treadmill or outside in the neighborhood or a park.  A virtual race is the best way to get comfortable moving to your own beat and gaining confidence in your strength and endurance!  Choose your distance and start moving!  It is a great way to be competitive with your family, friends, or co-workers while not traveling to a race. Run on your own or run within the guidelines of social distancing in a very small group.  Please follow community guidelines and orders when completing this virtual race.  This is a great way to motivate each other and hold each other accountable.   MOST IMPORTANT -- we need to remember and honor our fallen military.
