What is your connection to Project Children?
My connection to Project Children is believing in the organization's effort to foster peace by bringing the Catholic and Protestant children from Northern Ireland together in the US. The Mulcahy family's commitment to the PC initiative has truly made a positive impact on both sides of the Atlantic. My family spent a lot of time in East Durham, during the summer, and I can also remember meeting and interacting with many children who were out through Project Children.
Do you have a favorite PC memory?
I have been involved with supporting Project Children for over 25 years. My favorite Project Children memories have been on the "Cruise for Kids" boat cruises around Manhattan. My band, Celtic Cross has been performing on the yearly cruise from the beginning and the night never disappointed. It was a wonderful experience to support the organization while celebrating the incredible impact that PC has had on the peace process.
Tell us what it means to be a PC ambassador for the PC Picnic and 5k and the Move to the Monaghan Peace Campus.
It's an honor to be an ambassador for the organization and supporting Project Children in celebrating the positive difference they have made. I am excited to help bring awareness to the Move to the Monaghan Peace Campus and help rally around and celebrate this amazing achievement.
