Tara Rose was opened 2019 by Donegal native Kevin Doherty. It's located in Rose Hill NYC, with the most famous hill in Ireland being the "Hill of Tara", hence the name was born. It's a local Cocktail Bar with delicious bites and a chilled out atmosphere, serving the best brunch in NYC. Kevin appointed Conor Fox ( a Galway legend ) in 2019 to manage the bar. In an era of hospitality mired with ego and individuality, Kevin & Conor's philosophy prefers to prioritize the community and of course, the “craic”.
Kevin has since gone on to open two more locations "Bosco" on Bleecker Street & "Alligator Pear" on West 30th street, while they are not Irish bars on the surface, the hospitality in both will remind you of home.
Tara Rose is expanding on the brand with an upcoming location opening in September " Tara Mor" a 3-floor location with a restaurant on the top floor, a bar on the main floor and a speakeasy games room below. Also, there are some rumors of a third Tara location opening later this year.
Tara Rose is great to visit for Brunch, Lunch & Dinner.
Lunch Deal - $19 for any food item & drink together, one of the best deals in New York City.
On Thursdays - All-night happy hour, only recommended for those who can sleep in on Fridays.
