Crew
Optional Virtual Pre-Race Crew Meeting
We'll cover the crew/pacer driving map, how to follow the aid station chart, crew accessibility at aid stations, and answer any questions so your support team shows up ready to rock and roll. Athletes, tell your crew to get it on their calendar!

Crew Driving Map
The crew driving map provides routes and aid station access info so that everyone is ready for race day. Please take a look at the map below and instructions below so your crew knows where they can (and can’t) go.
Crew Access Instructions
Easily Accessible Aid Stations, Starting from Petoskey
-
AS 1 – Parking lot access. Last year, parking at this AS was very busy because everyone went there at the same time.
-
AS 2 – Easy acccess. Come from the North, leave to the East. Road side parking.
-
AS 3 – Plenty of parking, pit toilets, restaurants.
-
AS 4 – Dirt road – please drive slowly to avoid dusting athletes. Shoulder parking only; do not linger too long. This is at a river crossing (great spot to cool off or jump in at the swing if you want!).
-
AS 6 – Large parking lot, best accessed from the north.
-
AS 6.5 (100K only) – Easily accessible, minimal shoulder parking; do not stay long.
-
AS 7 (100 Mile & 100K together from here to finish) – Easily accessible, shoulder parking.
-
AS 9 – Access from the south; shoulder parking roadside.
-
AS 10 – Downtown Hillman, church parking lot.
-
AS 11 (Tournament Park) – Great resupply spot and a good place to relax for a while. On Google Maps it’s called Tiger Park, but we’ll be referring to it as Tournament Park.
-
AS 12 – Wide road with street-side parking; enter from the south.
-
AS 13 – Park & Ride with lots of parking; great staging or nap location.
-
AS 14 (first 50K AS*) – Trail crossing a road; limited parking but easy to access.
*50K runners see aid stations backwards since they start at the finish line and run out and back.
No Crew Access
-
AS 5 – No crew access or relay exchanges.
-
AS 8 – No crew access. Relay exchange only. Go to 63.8 to meet your Athlete, off of County Road 628.
Start & Finish Info
- 100 Mile Start (Bayfront Park - Festival Place Shelter - Petoskey, MI 49770) - Parking on Water Street (please don't park in the curved spots closest to the shelter), Wachtel Ave, Bayfront Drive, next to the Little Traverse History Museum (enter off Bayfront Drive), and at the Petoskey City Marina. Just don't leave your car there all day; once the race is gone, cars need to be as well.
-
100K Start (Tomahawk Lake Campground) – Campsite parking available, pit toilets. Camping reservations required (online).
-
Finish Line – Multiple parking lots available (including marina lot and two within the park). Look for signage and race staff directing you.
Important Note on Water Stops
Water-only stops are for racers only and not for crew access. These are quick refill points and we need to keep them clear.
Crew makes this race possible—thank you for helping keep things smooth for the athletes!
Note that there are six layers to the Crew Driving map. We have it set so the Aid Station Map and two layers with the Driving Map are turned on. We have the Driving Map broken into two sections; 100 Mile start in Petoskey to AS 9 and AS9 to the finish in Alpena.
To be able to use this map when you lose service, you need to:
- Save the area for offline use while you're still on wifi.
- Have the map open before you lose service. You can't open it once you lose service.
- Don't close the map or app!
- If you lose it you'll still see your location on the map. It's GPS - satellites still see your phone. You can still follow your location along the map. You just won't get turn by turn directions or up to date traffic info., etc.
