Running Club Partners
The New Orleans Track Club is a membership organization composed of and administered by runners and walkers. The mission of the NOTC is to produce and promote running events both as a competitive sport and as one of the best athletic activities for achieving physical and mental fitness. Membership is open to all, fast, slow, and in-between, who share our passion for the sport
The NOTC was founded in 1963 with the purpose to promote running in the New Orleans metro area. Since that time the Club has grown to over 2000 members including runners, walkers, and wheelchair athletes. NOTC is a Member of the RRCA & USA Track & Field!
The NOTC is a non-profit organization. Officers and members of the Board of Directors are elected annually. Most of the work is performed by club volunteers. In this way we maintain nominal entry fees to cover costs at races. Each year the NOTC contributes thousands of dollars to charitable organizations. In addition, the NOTC supports local lower, middle, and high school cross country programs.
Founded in early 2024 by New Orleans filmmaker and creative studio owner Mikey Ricks, the Boring Run Club began as a simple idea: get people outside, running together, and reconnecting with the community. What started as a small Saturday meet-up at the City Park Peristyle has grown into one of the most energetic and welcoming running groups in the city, supported by a dedicated crew of runners who help organize events and keep the club fun, consistent, and open to all.
Each week, the club brings out hundreds of runners and walkers who come for the atmosphere—house music, DJs, dancing—and stay for the inclusive, social environment. The mission is straightforward: make movement accessible, help people meet others across the city, and create space for both seasoned runners and beginners to train, connect, or simply enjoy starting their weekend outdoors.
The club’s unique energy has led to partnerships with brands like Propel, ASICS, and Nouveau, along with collaborations with many local businesses. In 2024, these partnerships helped produce The Running Revival, one of the year’s largest and most memorable pop-up run events. Beyond weekly runs, Boring Run Club also gives back through community-focused events such as toy drives, food drives, and local initiatives—always working to make the club about more than just running.
The Power Miler Track Club was established in 2006 in New Orleans. The purpose of PMTC is to foster the support and development of athletes in the Greater New Orleans area for preparation and participation in national competitions in cross country, track and field, and other long distance running events. With its competitive spirit, PMTC's endeavors include promoting a healthy lifestyle, supporting the local running community, and contributing to charitable organizations. The motto of the club is to "Work hard. Race hard. Improve. Repeat." We meet at least twice a week to train for race distances from the mile to the marathon. Come join us!
Ainsley’s Angels of America is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to fostering true inclusion by ensuring people of all abilities can participate in community events and endurance races together. The Greater New Orleans ambassadorship was launched in 2019 and has experienced tremendous growth ever since, becoming one of the most active and inspiring local chapters in the region.
At its core, Ainsley’s Angels pairs Angel Riders — differently abled individuals who are unable to race independently — with Angel Runners who push them in adaptive racing chairs through events such as 5Ks, 10Ks, half-marathons, marathons, and community fun runs. Our angel riders pull our runners across the finish line! Together with Guardian Angels — volunteers who support logistics, encouragement, and safety — the teams embody a spirit of inclusion, mutual respect, and empowerment.
The Steel MagNOLAs are a group of Triathletes in the New Orleans area that supports each other in achieving the best results for races and overall fitness. Steel MagNOLA's volunteer mission is second to none for many running and triathlon events across the region!
