Get a look at the range of Virtual Challenges using the RunSignup Challenge Platform to reach supporters across the country.
The Great Virtual Race Across Tennessee was an instant success in Spring of 2020, inspiring a range of run-across-the-state challenges. It's not a new idea any more, but it's still a tangible event style with opportunities to tie in tourism and local businesses. A few examples:
The parameters of your virtual challenge aren't limited to state borders. Get creative and give people the virtual vacation of a lifetime
Bring people together with challenges that allow teams of participants to complete the ultimate goal together.
These challenges make all participants a part of one giant team. It's a great model for fundraising!
It's not all about miles. Offer a challenge based on elevation gain during activities (running, walking, biking, etc) or incorporate elevation into the distance challenge.
It's not only about running or biking a cumulative number of miles. Other endurance-related challenges focus on number of minutes of exercise or days of consecutive exercise.
While many of the above challenges support a nonprofit (or are even organized by one), but for these events, the message focuses on the cause more than the accomplishment.
We said challenges can be used for anything, and we meant anything. These challenges aren't really about running or exercise at all.
