"Good morning! A group of friends and I just participated in the last Hula Loop. We were interested in Perpetual Motion. But we noticed the price was quite a lot more. Is this correct?"
We recently received this question from a runner. They had done a Hula Loop 6-Hour and were looking at Perpetual Motion. But they were surprised that the 6-Hour at Perpetual Motion cost almost double. Here's our response:
"Yes, that's correct. Hula Loop is a no frills race. [It's held in inexpensive venues, we make the medals, there's a charge for shirts, and there's not much in the way of swag.] In contrast, Perpetual Motion runners get professionally-made medals & awards, a long-sleeve shirt, a second swag item, a swag bag with samples from our sponsors, professional timing, a certified-distance course, a full Aid Station with hot food, and the gorgeous view. Plus the 24-Hour is a qualifier for the National team, so it's just a very different vibe."
We're sure that other runners have wondered the same thing, so we've put together this chart of what you can expect at each of our event types:
There are race companies that strive to make every race they host the same, so that they can just churn them out. WRATH Racing is not one of them. We try to give each race it’s own character. It makes sense, because each appeals to a different type of runner.
