Walk for Weims is more than a single day of walking. It's a nationwide community of Weimaraner lovers coming together to celebrate the breed, support rescue, and grow the community.

And none of it happens without volunteers!

Whether you want to organize a walk in your hometown, capture memorable moments, spread the word, or lend your talents behind the scenes, there's a place for you in our pack.

You don't have to live near an organized walk or have special experience to make a difference. Some opportunities are local, others are remote. Some involve planning throughout the season, while others need just a few hours around event day.

Lead the Walk

Trail Leader — Local

Organize and lead a Walk for Weims gathering in your community. Help select a location, coordinate walk details, welcome participants, and share the experience.

Head Trail Leader — Remote or Local

Help coordinate and support Trail Leaders in multiple locations. Share resources, answer questions, and help keep everyone connected and prepared for walk day.

Event Day Volunteer — Local

Lend a hand at an organized walk! Help with check-in, welcoming participants, photography assistance, or other activities your local Trail Leader needs.

Spread the Word

Photographer / Videographer — Local

Capture the excitement of Walk for Weims through photos and videos. Professional equipment isn't required. A good eye and a smartphone can go a long way!

Social Media & Content — Remote

Help create engaging content, share stories, promote walks, and spread awareness of our mission across social media.

Community Outreach — Local or Remote

Help introduce Walk for Weims to Weimaraner owners, breed clubs, community groups, and other potential supporters.

Support the Mission

Rescue Liaison — Remote

Help participating rescues stay connected with Walk for Weims. Assist with communication, sharing resources, and coordinating updates. Especially suited to volunteers with existing rescue relationships.

Raffle & Fundraising Support — Remote

Help coordinate raffle prizes, donated items, fundraising activities, and supporter acknowledgments. National sponsorship outreach is managed separately by Walk for Weims leadership.

Administrative Support — Remote

Help with organization, data entry, communications, volunteer coordination, and other behind-the-scenes tasks that keep Walk for Weims running smoothly.
