Walk for Weims isn’t just a walk-it’s a movement powered by passionate Weim lovers across the country.
Whether you're leading the charge in your city, spreading the word online, or helping behind the scenes, there’s a place for you on our team. Together, we’re raising awareness, wagging tails, and making rescue magic happen.

Rescue Liaison Coordinator
- Act as the main contact between Walk for Weims and each participating rescue.
- Help manage logistics, updates, and resource sharing (flyers, bandanas, fundraising tips).
- Could be local or remote.
Location: Remote
Ideal for: Volunteers already connected to a participating rescue.
Time commitment: About 1 hour per week from January until end of April
Local Walk Hosts
- Organize and lead in-person walk events in their city or region.
- Handle route planning, meet-up coordination, and share event pics/videos.
Location: Your area
Ideal for: Highly engaged fans or Weim rescue volunteers in various regions.
Time commitment: Less than 1 hour per week. Could be slightly higher in April leading up to event
Social Media Team
- Help promote the event in Facebook groups, on Instagram, and TikTok.
- Share graphics, teaser videos, personal stories, and fundraising pages.
Location: Remote
Ideal for: People with a social media marketing background or anyone who is social media savvy.
Time commitment: Varies from less than 1 hour per week to 3 hours depending on skills and content creation level.
Walk Photographer / Videographer
- Capture and submit photos or short videos from their walk.
- Could also help create a recap slideshow or Reel afterward.
Location: Your area
Ideal for: Anyone with a phone and a good eye (or even a drone).
Time Commitment: Day of event and any hours you want to spend editing or creating recap.
Raffle for Rescues Coordinator
- Reach out to Weimaraner artist and Pet companies to solicit donations for the raffle for walkers who raise $100 or more.
- Send thank you letters to donors.
- Follow up after drawing to connect winners to donors so they can ship the prize directly to them.
Location: Remote
Ideal for: People who love Weimaraners and don't mind asking businesses and artists for donations either by phone or email.
Time Commitment: Couple of hours per week in the beginning and then a few hours after the event for notifications.
