Women's Only 5K Walk & Run Virtual Race

Mon September 28 - Sat October 3 Greensboro, NC 27408 US
Routes and Timing

5K Runner/Walkers/Survivors
  • The beauty of a virtual 5K is that you can research and pick the route that works best for you. Just remember that a 5K is 3.1 miles
  • There is a suggested route found on the RaceJoy App for both the 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run. It begins and ends at the Lewis Community Recreation Center near Country Park.
  • In order to ensure fairness, the route and use of the app will be required for those competing for timed finisher prizes
  • If you don't want to compete for timed prizes, it doesn't matter what route you choose or what app you pick. However, to be included for raffle prize drawings you must at least mark your race as completed on our results page.
Click here for a look at our suggested race route on the Greenway!

Girls Mini-Run
The route for the girls mini-run is up to the parent or guardian of the child. We recommend a route no longer than 400 yards, however, if you would like to take them on your route, that is at your discretion.

Pink Ribbon Partners 1-Mile Fun Run
The RaceJoy app will also feature an optional 1-Mile Fun Run for all genders.  Sign up as a Pink Ribbon Partner to compete in this route just-for-fun! Click here for a look at the route (also beginning/ending at the Lewis Recreation Center).

If you don't want to do that and just want to cheer on a racer, that's ok! There is a way to send messages of encouragement through the RaceJoy app.  Timing reporting is not required for this category as prizes will not be awarded.

Turning In Your Times

  • On RaceJoy, you begin at the "starting line" location on the app (Lewis Recreation Center) and turn on tracking. The app does the rest. When you cross the "finish line" (back at the rec center) your time and tracking are automatically recorded and sent to Junction 311 for results reporting.
  • For those who wish to time themselves through another means, you may do so however, we ask that you just mark your race complete on our Results page. To ensure fairness, we ask that if competing to win timed finisher prizes you use the app listed above.
  • For those who just wish to let us know they participated, mark your race as "completed" on the results page. No time will be recorded, but your participation will. Everyone who completes the race will be eligible for raffle prize drawings.
  • Note that results will be posted publicly by 10 a.m. on Monday, October 5.

Do I have to time my race?
You only need to turn in your times to qualify for times finisher prizes. It is not required. However, we ask that if you want to be in any raffle drawings, you at least mark your race as completed.
