Women's Only 5K Walk & Run

 

Remember that our first race (the one-mile fun run) starts at 2 p.m. If you are arriving after this time, please use the entrance routes from Yanceyville St.

 

 

Please note that these directions will take you to race parking at Guilford County Department of Social Services at 1203 Maple St., Greensboro, NC 27405.

 

From here you can walk to the race site. 

 

 

Wendover Ave. Traveling East / 220 S (Winston Salem)

 

Option 1 (best if arriving after 2 p.m.)

• Follow Wendover Ave through Greensboro towards Moses Cone Hospital

• Turn right on Church St (at Cafegency and Office Depot)

• Turn left on Bessemer Ave.

• Turn left on Yanceyville St.

• Follow parking signs past Third St.

• Turn right on Meadow St.

• Turn right into DSS lot

 

Option 2 

• Follow Wendover Ave East through Greensboro towards Moses Cone Hospital

• Go through light at Church St.

• Turn left on Maple St.

• Follow parking signs past Third St.

• Two DSS entrances will be marked as parking entrances. Turn left to access the lot at these signs.

• Alternatively, you can turn left on Meadow St and left into the DSS lot

 

 

From Wendover Ave. Traveling West / 220 N (Burlington)

 

Option 1 

• Take I-40W / I-85 South 

• Take Exit 227 to I-785 

• Take Exit 18 to US 70 / Burlington Rd.

• Follow right onto US 70 W / Burlington Rd. This will become Wendover Ave. 

• Go past Summit Ave.

• Turn right on Maple St.

• Follow parking signs past Third St.

• Two DSS entrances will be marked as parking entrances. Turn left to access the lot at these signs.

• Alternatively, you can turn left on Meadow St and left into the DSS lot

 

Option 2 (best if arriving after 2 p.m.)

• Take I-40W / I-85 South to 

• Take Exit 227 to I-785 

• Take Exit 18 to US 70 / Burlington Rd.

• Follow right onto US 70 W / Burlington Rd. This will become Wendover Ave. 

• Go past Summit Ave. and Maple St.

• Take the Yanceyville St. exit

• Turn right on Yanceyville St. 

• Follow parking signs past Third St.

• Turn right on Meadow St.

• Turn right into DSS lot

 

 

From US 29S (Rockingham County)

 

Option 1

• Take US 29S 

• Follow and merge onto US 220N/Wendover Ave East ramp

• Turn right onto US 220N/Wendover Ave East

• Go past Summit Ave.

• Turn right on Maple St.

• Follow parking signs past Third St.

• Two DSS entrances will be marked as parking entrances. Turn left to access the lot at these signs.

• Alternatively, you can turn left on Meadow St and left into the DSS lot

 

Option 2 (best if arriving after 2 p.m.)

• Follow and merge onto US 220N/Wendover Ave East ramp

• Turn right onto US 220N/Wendover Ave East

• Go past Summit Ave. and Maple St.

• Take the Yanceyville St. exit

• Turn right on Yanceyville St. 

• Follow parking signs past Third St.

• Turn right on Meadow St.

• Turn right into DSS lot

 

From Battleground Ave (best if arriving after 2 p.m.)

• From Battleground Ave, turn onto W. Cone Blvd (between All Pets Considered and McDonalds)

• Turn right onto Yanceyville St.

• Turn left on Meadow St.

• Turn right into the DSS lot
