Are you looking for a way to start or restart your running? Join our 5K training group for a fun, supportive environment to kick start your health goals. If you're unsure if the group is right for you, come out to our first run and try it out for free! The program is a mix of walking and running. Our goal throughout the training program is to gradually increase the running portions while decreasing the walking portions to help you effectively complete a 5K. Along the way, we'll keep you moving with guidance and advice, twice weekly group training runs, and educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury. With Coach April no one gets left behind! One of the biggest fears is "I'll be the slowest" -- please set that aside and come participate! The program duration is from August 19th - October 20th. The group meets Monday and Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. at the corner of West 9th St and Stony Point Road (Stony Point Business Park Parking Lot) in Santa Rosa. Baby strollers are welcome, all paces are accommodated. Ages 16+
