I’m walking in Strides for Peace - the Race to End Gun Violence - to celebrate the life-changing work of community organizations to reduce gun violence in Chicago and raise awareness and financial support.  

I could only choose one charity to support so I chose Together Chicago because I have prayed for and seen their efforts to collaborate and mobilize around their five focus areas - economic development, education, violence reduction, gospel justice, and faith community mobilization.  

I also love the work of Hood Heroes, R City, New Community Outreach, New Life Centers, Safe Families, and many other community organizations.  

Choose Hope for Chicago together and join others who share the common vision of a Chicago free from the fear of gun violence - Run, Walk, Give, Serve and Pray.
