SEVERAL TRAINING PROGRAMS TO CHOOSE FROM

  • You Can Do 26.2 Full Marathon Training Program – Designed for runners who are ready to take on the marathon and have completed a half-marathon within the last year.  Runners must be able to run 6 miles without stopping at the beginning of the program  For the winter program, 8 miles. (Fall and Winter)
  • Let’s Run 13.1 Half Marathon Training Program – Designed for runners wanting to complete their first or fastest half marathon. Runners must be able to run 4 miles without stopping at the beginning of the program.  For the winter program, 6 miles. (Fall and Winter)
  • Run/Walk 13.1 Half Marathon Training Program – Designed for new runners or anyone who wants to walk a portion of the race.  This programs uses a proven method of alternating running and walking to get you across the finish line.(Fall Program Only)
  • Take on the 10K– Designed for runners who are ready to take on the 10K and have already completed a 5K.

Fall 10K and Full / Half Marathon Training Program

  • Focused on preparing for the Rock-n-Roll San Antonio races in December. 
  • This program will also work for Dallas and BCS half/full marathons later in December.
  • 16 week training schedule starts in August of each year. 
  • 6 week base builder program begins in July. (optional)
  • This program will sell-out as it has for the past 5 years so register early if you want to guarantee your spot. 
  • Weekly group runs every Saturday morning and Tuesday evening. 
  • Optional group runs throughout the week.
  • RRCA Certified Coaches and experienced pace leaders and mentors.
  • Team running shirt provided.
  • Different pace groups to support all levels of runners, including run/walkers.
  • Flexible weekly workout schedule.
  • Tips and techniques to improve your running.

Winter Full / Half Marathon Training Program

  • Focused on preparing for the Alamo 13.1 and 26.2 races in March. 
  • 8 week training schedule starts in January of each year. 
  • Weekly group runs every Saturday morning and Tuesday evening. 
  • Meet-up  runs are available throughout the week.
  • RRCA Certified Coaches and experienced pace leaders and mentors.
  • Team running shirt provided.
  • Different pace groups to support all levels of runners, including run/walkers.
  • Flexible weekly workout schedule.
  • Tips and techniques to improve your running.

  • We help runners become racers. We have different training levels to fit your goals.
  • We are a non-profit organization. Our mission is to promote running in the local community. We keep our registration fees low so more people can participate.

Volunteer

Volunteer to help in a Training program - We have a variety of volunteer positions including coaching, mentoring, pacing, course setup, speakers, social activities, and other duties. All our volunteers get to participate in that training program for FREE.   Click HERE to volunteer!
