SEVERAL TRAINING PROGRAMS TO CHOOSE FROM
  • You Can Do 26.2 Full Marathon Training Program – Designed for runners who are ready to take on the marathon and have completed a half-marathon within the last year.  Runners should be able to comfortably run 6 miles at the beginning of the program  For the winter program, 8 miles. 
  • Let’s Run 13.1 Half Marathon Training Program – Designed for runners wanting to complete their first or fastest half marathon. Runners should be able to comfortably run 3 miles at the beginning of the program.  For the winter program, 6 miles. 
  • Run/Walk 13.1 Half Marathon Training Program – Designed for new runners or anyone who wants to walk a portion of the race.  This programs uses a proven method of alternating running and walking to get you across the finish line.(Fall Program Only)
  • Take on the 10K– Designed for runners who are ready to take on the 10K and have already completed a 5K.

Fall 10K, Half and Full Marathon Training Program
  • Focused on preparing for the Rock 'n' Roll San Antonio races in December. 
  • 16 week training schedule starts in August of each year. 
  • 4 week optional base builder program begins in July.
  • This program will sell-out - register early to guarantee your spot. 
  • Weekly group runs every Saturday morning and Tuesday evening. 
  • Optional group runs throughout the week.
  • RRCA Certified Coaches and experienced pace leaders and mentors.
  • Team running shirt provided.
  • Different pace groups to support all levels of runners, including run/walkers.
  • Flexible weekly workout schedule.
  • Tips and techniques to improve your running.

Why Train with SARR?

Volunteer
Volunteer to help in a Training program - We have a variety of volunteer positions including Coaching, Water & Signs Team, Pace Leaders, Social Director and many other roles. Volunteers get to participate in that training program for FREE.   Click HERE to volunteer!
