Sherri
I had wanted to run a Marathon for a good part of my adult life but never knew how to train for it.  In 2009 through the encouragement of a friend, we decided to join Runners High and sign up for a Marathon.  I just wanted to do one but I had so much fun running with the club and meeting new friends, I kept on going.  I have now completed 12 marathons, two of them this year, many half marathons and numerous other distance races.
And for the last few years, I have been an assistant coach for the 5 hour group.   I enjoy coaching and especially mentoring new runners sharing insights as to what works and what doesn’t work for me in my training to help you in reaching your goals.
I look forward to running with you all this season and seeing us all reach our running goals.
Brandt
I started running for exercise in my mid-50’s. It took a while, but I finally got to the point where I could run 3 whole miles! Imagine that. Then, in 2009, I discovered that two of my friends were runners and members of Runners High Club. They kidnapped me and the next thing I know I’m running to the Rose Garden with 20 or 30 other runners. The Rose Garden is a 7-mile round trip and I’d never run that far in my life. I survived that run and soon joined RHC. Since then, I’ve finished 9 marathons, umpteen half marathons and assorted other distances. In the process, I’ve learned a lot about myself and a little about long distance running. Along the way, I’ve made lasting friendships with running buddies and picked up a “running wife,” Sherri, who is the very best running buddy in RHC and who holds me accountable for my bad behavior. Over the past 14 years I’ve run with the 4 ½ hour group, run with and coached the 5-hour group and been an assistant coach for various groups. I’m looking forward to the upcoming training season, the new runners I’ll meet and the adventures it will be bring.
